Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless saltfish
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/4 green pepper
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 dash worcestershire sauce
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce

Optional ingredients

  • 1 small cucumber; shredded optional
  • chopped parsley optional

Instructions

  • Soak the fish overnight and pour off the water the next day
  • Then pour hot/boiling water over the fish and drain it well
  • Squeeze and dry the fish to remove excess water, and shred it
  • Add the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper sauces, and thoroughly mix them together
  • Allow the mixture to stand at room temperature for a day before refrigerating
  • When you're ready to serve, mix the fish well with finely chopped tomatoes
  • If desired, add cucumber and parsley to the mixture
