- 500 grams boneless saltfish
- 1 medium onion
- 1/4 green pepper
- 1 medium tomato
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 dash worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
Optional ingredients
- 1 small cucumber; shredded optional
- chopped parsley optional
Soak the fish overnight and pour off the water the next day
Then pour hot/boiling water over the fish and drain it well
Squeeze and dry the fish to remove excess water, and shred it
Add the olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper sauces, and thoroughly mix them together
Allow the mixture to stand at room temperature for a day before refrigerating
When you're ready to serve, mix the fish well with finely chopped tomatoes
If desired, add cucumber and parsley to the mixture
